Two blogs in one week! I asked my husband if he was going to continue to post a picture of everything we buy...guess he's lacking on topics to write for blog entries and with no more ultrasounds..pictures are going to be scarce.
We're half way there! And i finally feel like myself again, no more throwing up in the dishwasher (knock on wood)! I still have the occasional gag when baby's hungry, but other than that so far so good - thank God for that! The week after the korea trip I was back to throwing up and praying it was just because of the jet lag and the rough plane ride and not the looming return of morning sickness. but so far so good.
After the realization sorta set in that we were going to be having a girl I finally bought some girly clothes for her, i love that there are so many more options for cute baby girl clothes vs. boy's clothes...but it adds up quick! I had to have the husband check the shopping bag before clicking check out...and of course he veto-ed some of the too frilly items.
i think im finally slowly realizing that in a matter of months I'm going to be taking care of someone else, that her needs are greater than mine...yes it sounds selfish...but as we start buying more things for her, i'm left thinking "wow when is the next time im going to get to buy..." as im always looking for sales on baby clothes and other items, i wonder when the last time my husband bought clothes for himself..well..more like when was the last time i bought him clothes.
but every time i feel a kick or a squirm can't but help feel excited. Last night I asked my husband, "youre not going to say hello to us?" and he replied "us, so youre two people now" and with her growing it really does feel like US now.
before we even thought of really having kids I used to as Hoy what attributes he would want our children to have from him...and as the days draw more near I cant but wait to see her little face and who's nose, mouth, ears, and eyes she has. but until then..cant wait to see some kicking outside the belly..people often refer to the scene in alien.
so til then friends. bye!
love you my little bean

Reading Rainbow!!
Thanks again to Lisa, Angela and Crystal/Suk for the presents!! Now we have a blanket, socks that look like shoes and an I love mommy bib.Jee has been getting on me to read/sing to the baby. Luckily I have a friend thats a teacher namely Lisa. She bought us a few of her favorite baby books. Most of which I never heard of. I guess I never read much when I was younger and that shows why I don't read much today. But now that we have some books, I've been reading to our daughter every night since we got them. I've only read for maybe 3 days, but it's a start. I've been reading the book Goodnight Moon. Hopefully the baby likes the book, but who knows right now. Jee hasn't told me that the baby moves at all when I read it. I've been told that when the baby comes out it'll recognize songs and books and voices from when it was in the womb. So hopefully these books will be comforting to the baby when she comes out.
Can't believe in less than 5 months we will have a baby. Kinda hard to believe. I guess it still hasn't fully hit me still. We just bought our first piece of baby "equipment" which is a baby car seat that we will hopefully be able to use for the next 5 years since its convertible from a rear facing to a front facing car seat. We were able to find the Britax Boulevard CS on sale for 60% off of MSRP at FAO Schwarz. It looks like this.
That's it for now. Goodnight blog.

It's a GIRL!!
Who would have thought. Me having 2 older brothers and Jee having an older brother, and our first child? A GIRL!! Yup its a girl. The Dr showed us the privates and yup no pee pee. Jee was totally surprised. Me, not as much because I didn't totally psych myself into thinking it was a boy. But now that we know the sex it's kinda like, wow we are really having this baby now. And it'll be here in 5 months......WOW. Lots of stuff to do till then and things to get ready. Here are a few things we have right now.We bought these at Gap cause everything was on sale. We bought stuff at the boys section thinking we would have a boy but we bought the most gender neutral stuff we could find.
Still got lots to do and get ready. I don't even know what to do with girls. Lots of preparing to do.

And We're Back...

Back stateside since 7/11 (happy anniversary Jun and Mirim). We were picked up by our great neighbors Suk and Crystal and came home to a house that was nasty HOT. Looks like the hot weather had our poor AC running the whole time we were gone because my dad said that we should keep it set around 85 so that the hot weather doesn't damage our hardwood floors. So AC units don't like to work so hard and ours definitely quit on us. So for about a day and half we were without the great invention of air conditioning. Jee and I were both sweating just like when we were walking around the humid streets of Korea. Luckily my dad came by and diagnosed our AC unit. I got an extensive education on how it works, though I doubted in my mind that my dad could actually fix the thing. So as he opened it up he found that the blower motor had fried and we needed to get another one (for those of you who don't know my dad is a carpenter/selfmade handy man who can basically fix anything). So in short my dad fixed the motor and called in a friend to refresh our freon which from the sound of has been missing since day 1 we have been in the house. But now it is nice and cool in the house.
However, Jee hasn't fully recovered from the trip to Korea. Still jetlagged (she is sleeping next to me as I write this) and still not feeling 100% (nausea/vomiting). Not sure if the time change on the adjusting of the body has anything to do with it, but she still isn't feeling so good, along with all the other crazy pregnancy symptoms she's got. Can you believe this is what the baby looks like?
It actually looks like a baby. It's about 5 inches and weights 5 oz. Jee says the baby is moving like crazy inside and I have yet to be able to feel it. She said the DR says I won't be able to feel it for another month. But right now the baby's nervous system is developing (nerd alert). So all the neural pathways are starting to set themselves down and all the senses are developing. Man I wish I paid closer attention in Neuro Anatomy. So next week, we have the chance to find out if we are having a boy or a girl. For me, I'm still not 100% sure if I want to find out or not, but for Jee, she is 100% ready to find out. So from what I've been told the wife usually has the final say. But we still have a week to figure it out. I've also started working a new part time job so that we have some money to spend on the baby hopefully.
1.5 months till our 1 year anniversary and when school starts, 2 months till the start of HOKIE football, 5 months till the baby comes (holy crap!)

All We Do is EAT
Man, since we have been in Korea, all we have done is eat and hang out. We've had bosam, dduk boki, kimbap, jja jjang myun, tang su yuk, kkang poon gi, paht bing soo, shabu shabu, hotdog surrounded by frenchfries, naeng myung, kalbi jjim, boodae jigae, bbq chicken, dahk galbi, duck meat, and rotiboy mocha butter bread. The best was probly the naeng myun. The best I have ever tasted. It has a very sweet taste and the broth is more shee won ae then most.
We also had a chance to go to all the shops like itaewon, namdaemun and dongdaemun. LOTS of cute baby clothes and lots of great imitation designer products. Still need to shop and buy baby stuff and need to get me a wallet. Since we have been here Jee hasn't had much morning sickness, but that might be the fact that our times are all thrown off. But she has felt the baby moving around in her belly. I have yet to feel it but she has. She has also had super swollen feet since we have been here off the plane. Not sure if its a pregnancy thing or just from not moving on the plane. Hopefully it gets back to normal when we get back. The baby has been eating well but sometimes I worry just cause I'm not 100% sure about the food and water. But she doesn't like it when I'm a food nazi.
Anyway still lots of eating left to do. Till next time.

Welcome to the Motherland
After 24 hours we are finally in Korea. It has been a long long trip so far, atleast for the plane ride. Here is what we rode in on.
Pretty awesome airline. The sucky thing is that we had a the middle seats and no aisle seats. So we were afraid that she wouldn't feel well on the flight. Luckily she only felt sick towards the end and was able to sleep it off after she threw up. But man, this flight is ridiculously long. Both Jee and I had swollen ankles and hands by the end of the trip. Jee's ankles looked so swollen that she could have had CHF. They have personal screens to watch movies on and stuff. Since we had such a long flight Jee and I saw plenty of movies that we had not watched prior to the flight. I was able to watch (for the most part if I didn't pass out during) how to train a dragon, book of eli, alice in wonderland, date night, the wedding dress, invictus, valentines day, one episode of friends.

Our first meal in Korea was a doozy. We had bo sam. Which is basically sangyup sal with really sweet kimchi and sahm and stuff. It was soooo good and it was delivery! Hopefully we try some more good food today. Jay and Jun have been on a mission to document all the food that they eat here in Korea. So there maybe pictures of the food in the future.
There doesn't seem to be many people that walk with their babies outside. Guess the smog and the weather isn't the best for babies. Hopefully it doesn't effect our baby. Oh yeah. A few nights ago Jee told me that she might have felt the baby moving. So atleast the baby is staying active. I always seem to worry about what might happen to the baby on a plane ride and with stuff Jee is eating. But she just keeps calling me a nazi and says I won't let her do anything. Maybe we will buy some stuff while we are here in Korea, but it makes it hard not knowing if it'll be a boy or girl. Anyway. Till next time!
